I know you already saw me post about this yesterday, but I didn't want to hog the collection post with a million pictures of my creation. I'm just so excited, though. This color is my baby! So here's a few closer shots of Scrangie 2.0 that hopefully show all the cool little sparkles and color changes that it has.
Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie 2.0
You'll have to click to enlarge the pictures to see it, but there's rainbow microglitter in here. Can you tell? I think that might be my favorite part. The color has a black base intermixed with gold/olive/green/teal multichrome shimmer (think a darker/blackened version of Chanel Peridot). There's a blue shift right at the far end of the color, but it takes an extreme angle to get it to pop out. Then, to rough it up so it doesn't look like a straight metallic frost, there's chunkier olive shimmer and tons of that rainbow microglitter I just mentioned. It's not bumpy glitter, it's more like shimmer pearls. It dries perfectly smooth with a slight reflective chrome finish.
I'm really happy with how this turned out. A little golden, a lot green, a little dirty and swampy, a little shiny and reflective, nice and dark and with enough color shift and rainbow sparkle to convey my love of duochromes and holos. I'm so proud of it. It even has that light in the middle/dark on the edges look that I enjoy so much. I hope you like it as much as I do :)
i love it! :D and it's green-ish too so super loooove :D
ReplyDeleteWow, this looks cool. Like a gem, some what dirty but still pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh, it's so pretty. Rock it in the Fall!
ReplyDeleteI might even like this better than Scrangie V1. DEFINITELY will pre-order. Congrats on another beautiful polish!
ReplyDeleteThis color has officially been labeled "badass" by my 15 year old son. If nail polish can impress a teenage boy, it's got to be something special.
ReplyDeleteIt's a Scrangie/RBL collaboration ... of course it's special – and pretty badass to boot!
It's gorgeous! Congrats! :)
ReplyDeletelove it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful creation!
ReplyDeleteI love it, I love polish with olive tones in. It's your creation, you're entitled to a million pictures of it!
ReplyDeleteI was a little disappointed with this color when I first looked at it .... but now that you described it clearly I am definitely preordering it along with Liberty and nailsandnoms . I think it is one of those polishes where pictures don't do justice(Cuprum).
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorg! Wonderful creation. You should be proud of your baby. I can't wait to purchase a bottle!
ReplyDeleteI love how green it looks in photo #6.
ReplyDeleteThe shift from olive to forest-y green is wonderful. Great work Scrangie and RBL!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovely!

ReplyDeleteIt is positively scrumptous, Scrangie! I am so fortunate to have gotten my hot little hands on one. I'd LOVE to have Scrangie 1.0. I will die wearing purple and be buried in purple. There can never be enough purple nail polish, especially purple/blue duochromes. You have quite a talent. The 2.0 color is so rich and beautifully complex. My impatient fingertips are waiting! :D

ReplyDeleteHi. Never posted before. Yours is the first nail blog I followed and I are I love your aesthetic. This color is what Chanel Peridot wants to be when it grows up. I am, sigh, no longer a collector (nor wearer because my natural nails reject polish), since my hubby suffered a series of seizures earlier this summer and medical bills trump all. If I could buy one fun thing, just one, it would be this bewitching glittering concoction and wear it on my sad natural nails for as long as it would last. I bet it would rocking chipped! I made your third picture my wallpaper. Also, since I never post, thank you for always remembering those afflicted with depression. Those of us who can't speak for ourselves cheer inside for those who can.
