I was reaching for a makeup brush (I keep my brushes upright in a cup) and somehow ended up with a metal lash comb embedded in the side of my finger. Sorry if you're squeamish about this type of thing, but it totally blew my mind. When I pulled my hand back, the lash comb was attached. ARRRGHHHOMGWTF. And it's my favorite lash comb, too, but from now on I think I'll store it laying down.
Anyway, instead of just not posting anything for a couple days, I thought I'd go through some of my unposted old pictures from half-finished reviews because they're just sitting there uselessly in my drafts folder.

ReplyDeleteNot going to lie, totally have cut myself on my metal lash comb, too. We should both pretend that's a totally normal kind of accident to have. Then again this is coming from the girl who has scars on her chest now because she dumped a bowl of hot soup down her shirt. Apparently that's not where my mouth is... who knew!
ReplyDeleteOuch! Hope your finger heals quickly.
ReplyDeleteWow romaine lettuce?! How does that even happen? You must be made out of rice paper or something! Btw, that last lipstick looks amazing!! Would love to see that in action.
ReplyDeleteHow no poor you! Get well soon
ReplyDeleteHo no poor you! Get well soon
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the juicy pics tho, that was fun! I have never seen that fun lipstick, cool!
ReplyDeletethat lipstick is stunning!
ReplyDeleteThat Milani lipstick is FIERCE! :) I also love the Milani eyeshadow palettes that look like splodges of paint.
ReplyDeleteSeeing this makes me want to go shopping! Love all of the swatches!
ReplyDeleteStill LMAO at your post title, but poor thing, you got a quite unusual cut... I got the tip of my index cut while peeling sweet potatoes... that's a lot less glamour than your own cut XD
ReplyDeleteThe Milani single eye shadows OMG so freaking pretty!!
ReplyDeleteHope your finger heals quickly hun that sounds super painful :(
XOXO
Get well soon! I bought a couple of those Pantone lipsticks, I think they're great! I am also looking forward to your Skyfall swatches. I already bought 7 of them plus the flakie topcoat but I love seeing your swatches anyway. Gorgeous collection in my humble opinion!
ReplyDeleteOh yeouch, ow, GAH, I hope you're not hurting too badly-that sounds painful!
ReplyDeleteI'm really glad I looked at this whole post because that MAC lipstick? Need it. ^_-
i really wanted that sephora lipstick :( the price is the only thing that stopped me and now i regret it
ReplyDeleteSorry, Scrangie! Heal up quickly! Maybe try some
ReplyDeleteArnica gel to ease swelling and help prevent scarring
Yowsers lady! Slow down. lol I always looked for that Milani palette in Abstract. I wonder if that WnW illuminating Powder is still around. Must look for that one!
ReplyDeleteAhhh it's all so prettyyyyyyyy! <3 Also checking out design her gals thanks to your cute girl at the top :D
ReplyDeleteWell, it makes for a good story? Get well soon! Loved all the photos!
ReplyDeletelol! Scrangie! How do you cut yourself on lettuce! Too funny.
ReplyDeleteI hope you heal fast!
Don't feel bad about the lettuce. My boyfriend cut himself on a hot dog once.
ReplyDeleteA hot dog! Damn, that's hardcore! I can see something like that happening to me hahaha
DeleteThat lipstick is the most awesomelooking lippie I have ever laid eyes on :D is it any good?
ReplyDeleteSadly, I thought it was terrible! But it looks cool in the tube lol
DeleteOh no, so many discontinued's. Everything I liked lots I can never get :-(( Great lot of spam tho!

ReplyDeleteThat is also my favorite lash comb -- and I too sustained an injury from it! Those tines are no joke. Absently had it turned the wrong way and briskly "brushed" my brows with the sharp side before I realized it. Ouch!
ReplyDeleteOwwwww, I sure hope you heal quickly. Your nails could probably use a break anyway.

ReplyDeleteI hope you heal quickly. Finger cuts are nasty ... I once cut myself on a baguette. No kidding. I bought it fresh from the bakery, opened the paperbag, took the baguette out and there was a kind of spiky baked ridge on the surface of the baguette ^^ very hard baked baguette-dough, sticking out ... and totally slashed my finger.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a bit of nail polish remover to find all those little cuts you didn't know you had ^^
Btw, this "Sephora + Pantone Universe Alchemy of Color Lipstick" , is it any good? How does it work with the color being only in the middle and a lot of glittery gloss all around it?
I've cut myself on a baguette before too! And sliced part of my finger off peeling vegetables... owwwww
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the Sephora lipstick was pretty aweful, in my opinion. It felt greasy and glittery, the color applied unevenly and slid everywhere and only lasted about 10 minutes before I had to reapply. Definitely not worth the price. :(
Oww. Fingers are a pain because we use our hands so much, even if one isn't a famous hand model like you! Heal quickly. I love make up porn, the lipstick at the end looks cool.
ReplyDeleteI never got this problem. On the other hand, I slice my fingers a lot in the rare days I cook.
ReplyDeleteSince your comb is ruined, let me give you a suggestion. Sephora also has this normal (?) comb which comes with a plastic case. It looks a lot like the one you have, though it has a purple handle. I'm unsure if it's available where you live.

Either buy that one or steal the plastic case.
I don't know if there's any difference in terms of quality, but there is a another Sephora brush of that type with a coloured handle which comes with a plastic case.

Awww... sorry to hear about your finger! You are my favorite nail blogger, and I was hoping to see the Skyfall Collection on your site. Then I saw your comments about cutting your finger (ouch!) on the lash comb, and I totally feel your pain! I don't like to use nail polish remover when I have cuts on my fingers, either. I store my make-up brushes in a cup, too... but I keep my lash comb in a separate, smaller cup; along with my brow scissors and tweezers. I also invested in a folding lash comb (Sonia Kashuk) so I wouldn't stab myself anymore, either. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry about your finger! You are my favorite nail blogger on the planet, and I came here looking for the Skyfall Collection swatches. Sorry to see that you weren't able to do them yet because you got stabbed. :o(
ReplyDeleteI keep my make-up brushes standing up in a cup, too. But I bought a folding eyelash comb that I keep in a separate cup along with other sharp tools (tweezers, brow scissors, etc.) It is a very good, metal, eyelash comb by Sonia Kashuk in case you are interested. :) Recover quickly!!! I'll be looking forward to your future swatches! XOXO- Diane
I was hoping to see your swatches of the milani eyeshadows on... I'd just hate to buy it and have to take it back because I don't like it.
ReplyDeleteWho knew the hidden dangers of lash combs! Maybe it was just in a peevish mood, watch out for it! x x x
ReplyDeletewow this got me so excited especially the milani eyeshadows
