I've been doing a lot of glitter layering lately, so I thought I'd share some of my recent combinations. All of them were pretty random and unplanned (the result of getting bored with a color and grabbing the first glitter that caught my eye) but they turned out well for the most part!
Cirque Debris over Cirque Epoch.
Epoch was definitely not boring, but I couldn't resist trying out Debris on top of it. Loved how it turned out, wore it the entire weekend (and not a hint of tipwear or chipping, I might add).

Barielle Purple Hearts over OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest.
My Every Month Is Oktoberfest was starting to show some tipwear and I wanted to try out the new Barielle glitter I bought at TJ Maxx, so this happened. Turned out awesome!

Cirque Potosi over Cirque Fascination Street.
I'm still wearing this one as I write this. Again, Fascination Street wasn't boring but I couldn't resist the temptation of putting a new glitter on top of it. I actually liked it better without the glitter, but I think Potosi would look pretty sweet over a dark-colored creme or shimmer.
Sally Hansen Multi-Faceted over NARS Storm Bird.
Multi-Faceted is such an awesome glitter but it was crazy thick, as I'm sure you can tell by my disgusting, globular-looking nails. Will definitely thin it next time I use it.
Sally Hansen White Veil over OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons.
White Veil was not thick like Multi-Faceted. This combination somehow reminds me of antique lace, dried flower arrangements with sprigs of baby's breath or an old wedding dress.
Now I feel like breaking out my Jordana Bronze Fest and layering it over something. I'm thinking OPI Deutsche You Want Me Baby. I'm still wearing this one as I write this. Awesome combos! And why I have a not seen SH Multi-Faceted yet, what a crazy amazeballs polish!
ReplyDeleteIt's a new one- I think it came out last month? It's really cool!
DeleteThey all look great. I think my favorite is Cirque Debris over Cirque Epoch!
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving my Cirque polishes!
DeleteWow, Epoch and Debris look amazing together!
ReplyDeleteI agree :) Debris adds just a tiny bit of holo which somehow makes the duochrome in Epoch look even better!
DeleteI love all of them! Such awesome glitter layering combos!
ReplyDeleteI really like Sally Hansen Multi-Faced and White Veil! :)
Thank you :)
DeleteOh wow, I love Cirque Debris over Cirque Epoch!!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite combinations I've ever worn!
DeleteOh wow, fab! I keep thinking I don't like bigger glitters, and then I see awesome glitter layers and jelly sandwiches and think, maybe I haven't seen the right ones yet... I might cave yet, so long as it's taco-free!
ReplyDeleteAll of these are definitely taco-free, hahaha! I got tired of big glitters after all the ones that came out last year, but some of them are so awesome. Cirque Debris and Sally Hansen Multi-Faceted might be my favorite of these.
DeleteOMG SH White Veil! Where did you get that? I've never seen it before...and I must have it...
ReplyDeleteGot mine at Meijer! I think they came out last month (that's when I saw them at lease), on a display with a few other glitters and cremes (I think they were intended as layering combos)
DeleteYou got lucky! Those LE polishes from way back in March/April of this year.
DeleteI have multi-faceted too, and it's so thick that I don't use it... I never thought to thin it out! >.<
ReplyDeleteThin that sucker! It's too cool to go to waste :)
DeleteAll those cirque polishes look fantastic. And I now need Don't Pretzel My Buttons even more than I already did!
ReplyDeleteI really like all the Cirque polishes I've tried so far :)
DeleteThese just blew my mind. I seriously need to invest in some Cirque polish. :D
ReplyDeleteThey all look fabulous, the difficulty in this is picking my favoite :)
ReplyDeleteI love the last combo, its so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteYou got some Cirques, yay! Isn't Epoch amazing!! Love it! Great layerings here. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that first combo especially!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful combo but the one that really stood out for me is Sally Hansen White Veil over OPI Don't Pretzel my button, it looks so elegant and subtle to me.
ReplyDeleteHi Scrangie! I've been reading your blog for a while now and I must say, you have hands down the absolute best swatches! Your nails are so beautiful! What's your secret? LOL I'm so trying to cut back on buying so much polish...but your swatches always make me add to my want list! I want those Cirque polishes. Ahhhhhh!!! I'm not a glitter girl...but your swatches make me want to be. LOL
ReplyDeleteLove all of these!
ReplyDeleteI think I like the last combot the best! I have White Veil, I just haven't worn it yet. This has encouraged me to change that ASAP!
ReplyDeleteThe Cirque combinations are gorgeous. Others are pretty, but these two really caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous combinations! I really like them all! I've been having my eye on Cirque polishes for a while, they're all so pretty. Sally Hansen White Veil has been on my wish list for a bit too, it's such a cool looking glitter!
ReplyDeleteThese combinations are all so pretty! I haven't seen White Veil or Multi Faceted yet - they are so nice! I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for them.
ReplyDeleteYou have the best swatches. :) My day just got a little bit more sparkly. <3 Thank you!
ReplyDeleteNice to see this post, since I'm seriously addicted to bling-bling nails (glitter lacquer should be classified a controlled substance, IMHO).
ReplyDeleteWonder how I missed that SH Multifaceted? It's very pretty!
Great post!
Awesome, love the Every Month Is Oktoberfest one. It's my purple problem showing again.
ReplyDeleteFreaky! I had OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons with White Veil over it last week! I loved those two together. I just removed it today.
ReplyDeletegreat nails!
ReplyDeleteWOW, those are all gorgeous. I'd never heard of Cirque before and now that I'm browsing their website, I'm so tempted! Especially by the nude holo called Never Nude... arrested development ftw!
ReplyDeleteAlso, White Veil looked so much like glitter and *sand* in the bottle that I passed it up, but seeing it on I'm kinda regretting it now!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these combinations. I need some more glitter top coats now.
ReplyDeleteWow, those Cirque polishes are all gorgeous! I'd love to see some straight-up swatches of them.
ReplyDeleteI love all of these~ I've got to go pick up Multi Faceted and White Veil, I love them!
ReplyDeleteLove love love the Barielle Purple Hearts over OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest. How gorgeous is that.
ReplyDeleteI own both of those SH jewel topcoats (highly underrated glitters),but you make me want the NARS and OPI polishes to go under them!
ReplyDeleteI adore that Sally Hansen "Multifaceted" glitter. Wowza! The Oktoberfest polish with the Barielle glitter was my favorite combination.
ReplyDeleteQuick question; how do you keep your nails from going insane on you with all the frequent polish applications and removals you must do? Do you have any tips or favorite products for nail protection/healing? My nails are a wreck from my polish addiction. :-/
Debris over Epoch.. loooove!
ReplyDeleteCirque polishes are awesome. I've ordered a few (it was hard not to buy all of them haha) and I'm waiting for them to arrive!
Adding SH White Veil to my list. Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Cirque -- so much fun glitter going on up in here!
ReplyDeleteI'm newly into Cirque, and I love them. Debris and Epoch are going on the list, I've already tried Potosi and Fascination Street, even looks great matte. You've inspired me to try a few more and be more patient with drying times!
ReplyDeleteOmg, I want EVERYTHING in this post!
