The formula on these was good. It was thick but even and smooth-applying. The brushes were back to normal so application was much easier than it was with the spring collection. I did three very thin coats of each, though only Champagne Bubbles actually needed the third coat. The rest were opaque in two, but more intense and rich with three. Dry time is on the long side.
Fantastic fall collection. I absolutely adore Pumpkin Delight and Gingersnap. Cinnamon Kiss and Crimson Tattoo are gorgeous as well, just not really unique. Champagne Bubbles is meh and Brown Sugar is downright hideous on me, but the rest are autumn perfection. I really love rich oranges, reds, golds and browns in fall so this collection hit all the right notes with me. They even added a little bit of duochrome, how about that! The only thing I really dislike about the collection is the name- Spicy Dream???

The Jessica Spicy Dream Collection was supposed to be available starting early August, but it doesn't appear to be up on the website yet. It should be available for purchase shortly on jessicacosmetics.com, or by calling 1-800-582-4000.

Oh wow! Gingersnap and Pumpkin Delight especially, but all of them! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I have to have the first three.
ReplyDeleteThey must read your blog! It looks custom made for you. The last one looks okay in the first picture but then you can see the frost in the second. Definitely the weak link. Sorry to show my ignorance, but how does a foil differ from a fine glitter?
ReplyDeleteA foil has flat, smooth metallic particles- like a foil candy wrapper, and they're usually very opaque with a reflective, textured metal finish. A fine glitter is usually not flat-particled, they tend to be somewhat chunky and usually more sheer. And then there's glass fleck, which is like the lovechild of glitter and foil :)
DeleteThank you. :)

ReplyDeleteUgh, can I have all of these!? Thank you for the swatches, I'm going to have to think twice about getting all of the OPI fall polishes I wanted... These are just lovely.
ReplyDeleteWow! These are my dream fall polishes! Truly Beautiful! Too bad here in the UK we can't get them inT many stores :(
ReplyDeleteI really like Pumpkin Delight and Gingersnap.
ReplyDeletePumpkin delight! Uh, hello and sha-wiiiing!
ReplyDeleteScrangie you have convinced me it is time to invest in my first Jessica polishes :)
ReplyDeleteCould never wear Brown Sugar - red browns look horrible on me. Champagne Bubbles looks like holiday to me and not a fall collection - but it's still kind of pretty - don't think I would wear it however. Gingersnap and Pumpkin Spice (Oh I want a Pumpkin Spice Late sooo bad)...are just too much alike for me to take both of 'em...and with Jessica needing to be mail ordered I tend to hate it when there is only 1 maybe 2 that I want. Really want to see Jessica get marketed in a better way so it's more accessible. Cinnamon Kiss looks a ton like something I know I have already..now what is it? I so need to thin down the stash - I have too many to enjoy and know what I have well. Guess with that last statement, good thing I don't really think I will order any in this collection. I have to shop at home and clean out.
ReplyDeleteThose are so so gorgeous! I love love love Cinnamon Kiss. I agree on the odd name for the collection, Spicey Dream? I guess it works. It reminds me of the new hot sauce at Taco Bell or something.
ReplyDeleteChampagne Bubbles is SUCH a cute name for that color, it really does resemble the name!
ReplyDeleteCinnamon Kiss has my name all over it - I adore blackened reds. I would also consider Pumpkin Delight because I don't have anything really similar in my collection and it just screams fall.
ReplyDeleteCinnamon Kiss and Pumpkin Delight, oh my gosh. SOOO gorgeous <3
ReplyDeleteWow these are the perfect fall collection!
ReplyDeleteOh I love cinnamon kiss!
ReplyDeleteOMG. Pumpkin Delight and Gingersnap need to be mine!
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for fall... these are just gorgeous. I have never tried a Jessica polish, but these may be my first purchases!
ReplyDeleteOh wow Crimson Tattoo is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteMay I ask what type of lighting you use? I love all your swatches photos :)
Thank you! :) I use natural daylight and sometimes I use flash. Nothing fancy!
DeleteThey're gorgeous! Is there a color similar to Pumpkin Delight from Zoya? I feel like I've seen it before! How does Gingersnap compare to Estee Lauder Nouveau Riche (Gingersnap looks darker, more bronzer)?
ReplyDeleteHmm... I can't think of a Zoya that looks like Pumpkin Delight! I know they have a lot with that flaky foily finish, but I'm drawing a blank! And I don't have the Estee Lauder polish, not sure what it looks like, sorry :(
DeleteLove these so much. Fall colors are the prettiest season.
ReplyDeleteLove these colors! Question: how does Cinnamon Kiss compare to OPI's German-icure? They look pretty darn close, and I'd choose Pumpkin Delight and Ginger Snap over the OPI colors...if Cinnamon Kiss is a dupe (or nearly) I'll be getting three from Jessica...
ReplyDeleteIt is rather similar, though I haven't worn them together to be sure. Same type of finish, same type of deep red color :)
DeleteOops; I think I posted twice (and now a third time). Sorry about that! If you could take down the double I'd appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteDone and done :)
DeleteI'm loving Pumpkin Delight.....need....want....drool....
ReplyDeleteThe Crimson Tattoo is a beautiful dramatic color. Not a big fan of Metallics but these gorgeous swatches are changing my mind. Beautiful work !
ReplyDeleteThe Crimson Tattoo is beautiful. Not a huge fan of metallics but these beautiful swatches are changing my mind. Love the way they look with multiple coats. Great presentation and blog!
ReplyDeleteCould you please compare Pumpkin Delight to OPI Take The Stage and Gingersnap to OPI Rising Star if you have them? If I order these and pay postage I want to make sure I am not getting dupes of these. Thanks. Love your site!
