Glitter Gal Fiery Furnace Brilliant. All of the Brilliant shade shifters have a glittery glass fleck finish with several colors of iridescent particles. Fiery Furnace is an intense mixture of coral, pink, red, orange and gold/yellow. It flashes from a cool-toned pink coral to a warm red and orange multichrome with only slight changes in angle and lighting.
Glitter Gal Last Light Brilliant. This one reminds me of MAC Club eyeshadow in nail polish form. It's a red-toned brown tinted base with heavy silvery blue and green duochrome glass fleck and a red flash over everything.
Glitter Gal Red Night Sky Brilliant. Red Night Sky has a whole lot of different things in it. It's a coral red base with coral, pink, red, orange, blue, green and purple color shift. It shows me a different color every time I look at it.
Glitter Gal Wild Violets Brilliant. Wild Violets shifts from red-toned purple to blue-toned purple and also contains sparks of red, blue, pink and orange and has a pink and orange duochrome sheen on top of everything to add even more color.
The Brilliant Shade Shifters are opaque enough to wear alone, but they are also sheer enough to layer over any other color to create a variety of effects. I've layered each shade at one coat over a plain black creme to show how the color shift changes when layered (some are quite surprising!):
Glitter Gal Last Light Brilliant (one coat) over black
Glitter Gal Red Night Sky Brilliant (one coat) over black
Glitter Gal Wild Violets Brilliant (one coat) over black
Glitter Gal Red Night Sky Brilliant (one coat) over black
Glitter Gal Wild Violets Brilliant (one coat) over black
The formula on all of these was good. On the thin side and very easy to control. The brushes are thin, soft, flat and square-edged so they take a little bit of getting used to, but after I got a feel for them I had no problems applying. I did four coats of each polish here. They were mostly opaque at three, but the fourth coat intensifies the sparkle and color shift just that much more, I really couldn't resist doing another. Dry time is average with three coats and only a little longer with four.
These are really amazing. I am both a duochrome and a glitter addict so to me this collection is heaven. They are really spectacular to look at and they're quite different from most duochromes (multichromes, whatever) in my collection. I personally prefer them alone rather than layered, but the effects you can create by layering them over different base colors are pretty cool. If you're looking for something new and different that just makes you go 'wow' when you see it, these might be worth a look. The only flaw I can find with them is the price ($17.95 each), but Glitter Gal imports have always been a bit on the expensive side.
These Glitter Gal Brilliant Shade Shifters came from Ninja Polish (located in the US), but can also be purchased directly from Glitter Gal (located in Australia).

These look amazing!!! In my opinion, the colors look more alive when paired with a black base!! Love them! And love your swatches as always!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome swatches, makes me want to have all of them.
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous !!! Are they the same size bottles as their other polishes ? (Tiny) That's a huge drawback for me - but I do love, love, love their stuff. Thanks for showing us the prettys !
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful !!! Are they the same tiny bottles their other stuff comes in ? To be honest - that's a bit of a deal breaker for me, even tho I LOVE their polishes. Thanks for sharing the prettys !
ReplyDeleteOh no, these are big, full size 0.5 oz bottles, not those itty bitty little ones they used to come in :)
DeleteReally gorgeous, can't beat all those dimensions in one polish!
ReplyDeleteThose are...totally stunning and amazing. I have to get all of them. Great pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteRed Night Sky really reminds me of Orly's Space Cadet when worn over black. I've never owned either one, but based on photos alone I get that impression. Either way, the set looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteOoooh!! <3
ReplyDeleteAmazing -- the polishes look completely different over black! Wonder what they'd be like over, say, a silver chrome? oooooOOOOOooooo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Love. Kisses.
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing! Thanks for the great swatches, my wish list is growing and growing! :)
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing! Thank you for the great swatches, my wish list keeps on growing this way :)
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cool! But 17 dollars plus shipping is a lot to drop on one bottle of nail polish :/ And I want at least 2 of them...
ReplyDeletePricey but beautiful! Way better than the china glaze bohemian collection!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I ordered Red Night Sky as soon as I saw your swatches! I found them on llarowe site on Sale for 7 bucks. She only had Red Night Sky, Last Light and another one I don't see a swatch of.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I especially like them over black.
ReplyDeleteI think they all look extra amazing when layered over black! :O
ReplyDeletellarowe has a few of these (not all) and they are actually on sale right now if anyone wanted one. (I'm not affiliated, just spreadin' the love.)
ReplyDeleteAaaahhh!! They're all so gorgeous!! They look great over black!!
ReplyDeleteThese are just amazing. I did not know this Brilliant series you could build up to wear on their own.
ReplyDeleteWild Violets is amazing.
ReplyDeleteFiery Furnace omg looks like OPI Luxurious in the photos!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Fiery Furnace reminds me of OPI Man of La Mancha (my biggest lemming EVAR)!!! They're all so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, these are GLORIOUS!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review, I've been toying with the idea of getting these, but after seeing your swatches I DEFINITELY want them! I think they are for sale on Llarowe's site sometimes too
ReplyDeleteThese are unbelievable. I can't afford them, like, AT ALL (especially right now), but the swatches here are wonderful eye candy.
ReplyDeleteWow, these are all gorgeous, especially Last Light Brilliant. I'm such a sucker for those reddish/green/blue colors, haha.
ReplyDeleteI love the finish and the texture on these! Excellent shift as well, but that's almost a bonus--even without it, these would be some awesome.
ReplyDeleteWow beautiful & tempting but $18 is outta control! I'll find some dupes :)
ReplyDeleteAaah, I want all of these...! I'm not sure I can get past the price tag, but these are definitely going on my "covet" list!
ReplyDeleteI was very meh as I looked at the first pictures, but the black creme changed everything. Speaking of changes; it's really weird seeing your nails from that angle. Not bad weird, just unexpected. Is it a bad sign I can recognise your hand even without seeing the watermark?!
ReplyDeleteThese are so stunning, I want them all!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, really wish these weren't so expensive!
ReplyDeleteThey all look super gorgeous, but I can't justify spending $18 on a bottle of polish. :|
Last Light Brilliant looks like a mail polish version of Urban Decay's Lounge eyeshadow! And Ohhh my god, Wild Violets Brilliant....I'm dying. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove them all but $18 is too much :(
