Milani has some new shades of Color Perfect Lipstick available for 2012. These six shades are exclusive to CVS Drugstores, but if you don't have a CVS near you, you can order them online directly from Milani. The new colors are:
Milani Color Perfect Lipstick in 54 Red Label
What I liked:
What I didn't like:
(This was sent for review.)
- I love the faceted gemstone-like design of the lipsticks! It's not just pretty to look at, the pointed tip actually makes the lipstick easier to apply with precision.
- The lipsticks have a sweet, fruity-floral generic perfume scent. I find it pleasant even though it's quite strong.
- The formula applied smoothly. It was creamy and not drying.
- They're extremely inexpensive. Normally only $4.99 (CVS actually charges more than Milani does: $5.29), on sale right now at CVS for $3.97.
What I didn't like:
- There are no safety seals on the tubes. You will need to open each one and check to make sure it hasn't been used before purchasing (unless you order online). Good luck.
- Some of the colors apply lighter or more sheer than I expected.
- The gold tube is a little dated looking.
- They're a CVS exclusive. Luckily, if you don't have a CVS in your area, you can order them online.

great review! Nude Creme and Barely There are my favs.!
ReplyDeleteI love Milani lipsticks! Unfortunately there isn't a CVS near me. The only place I have found that carries them is Kmart. Walgreens used to carry them, but stopped. (in my area anyways). I'm glad they have online ordering!
ReplyDeleteI do love those reds! So pretty! And I agree with you on the scent. So nice. :,)
I think the red shades look really nice on you.
ReplyDeleteI don't quite understand why these are made exclusive for CVS but then can also be purchased online. Of course that's good for everyone without a CVS near them; but why make them exclusive in the first place if they'll be readily available online? I'm a bit confused...
All of these look stunning on you! Wow such nice shades and the texture looks great too.
ReplyDeleteI love the nude shades!
ReplyDeleteLove them! About how long was the wear time on these?
ReplyDeleteI didn't test every color for wear, but Barely There and Red Velvet lasted around three hours before they started wearing off in the middle.
DeleteHow annoying is it when people open products and poke them? Even if they don't I wouldn't buy an open box, if it's not marked tester then don't do it! Ahem...pats hair. I like them all, even the nudes haven't erased your lips, and the formula looks great. I'd buy them just for the funky shape, I'm a sucker for details like that :)
ReplyDeleteIts extremely annoying, I have to take the opened and used lipsticks off the shelf then claims them cause nobody wants to buy already used lipstick. Same goes for nail polishes, they open it, swatch it on the cardboard that tells you the colors then put it back. Thats unfair to people who buy a bottle of nail polish that's been used plus its not that hard to just look at the color through the bottle to see if you want it or not. ugh..
DeleteNude Creme is beautiful! Too bad I can't find these shades here. :/
ReplyDeleteNude Creme looks really nice! <3 Too bad Milani isn't sold in Malaysia. :(
ReplyDeleteI love the reds these were the first ones so far that didnt make me lips look weird
ReplyDeleteI've had good luck with the thin Milani lipsticks in the black tubes, so I think I'm definitely going to check these out!
