This is the Sheer Pearl color I mentioned yesterday. I almost didn't get it because I thought it would be one of those super-sheer colors that take 6 coats and don't even look duochrome on the nail.... Wrong! This was surprisingly awesome.
Revlon Sheer Pearl. It's really not that sheer! This is only three coats and it's definitely opaque. This has a shimmery off-white base. Has a little yellow tint to it in the bottle, but on the nail it looks almost pure white. It has really fine pink/teal/green color-shifting shimmer that looks like fairy dust. It also has some slightly larger shimmer particles that aren't big enough to be glittery but are large enough to stand out. The color shift is a lot stronger in real life; my camera had a hard time picking up the pale pink flash and the tiny turquoise shimmer.
Way better than expected. Glad I took a chance on this one. I don't love it as much as I love Essence Prismatic White, but it's still up there in my list of favorite white polishes.
Formula on this one was just as nice as it was on Smoldering. Thin but not runny, not bubbly. not streaky, good dry time. Very much improved over other Revlons I've used in recent years.

I have been pretty happy with the Revlon formulas lately. Not many disappointments.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is really beautiful! :D Definitely have to get this one.
ReplyDeletelovely colour.. x
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing these whites, and in the bottle I'm meh, but on....woah! I love them:-) And Revon has reay stepped up their game!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not really into this color and i had one bad experience with a revlon polish, so i'm nervous to try another one until i find a color to die for!
ReplyDeleteWow! No brushstrokes! Very pretty.

ReplyDeleteI bought this one last summer!..Even looks great on my medium black skin..I only use one coat tho.
ReplyDeleteI'm pleasantly surprised that this only took 3 coats. Usually polishes like this take mannny. It's not my cup of tea (I don't really like tea, either...hehe), but I like how it looks really classy on you, Scrangie!
ReplyDeleteI am taken by a # of these whites as well. I have not seen this one here but picked up Revlon 370 Snow Bunny. Not the watery Revlon formula that left me for years not even buying it. As others have mentioned, Revlon has made some hits this yr. But they are not consistent enough for me with the formula yet. I still will get a watery formula now and again so i don't buy them unless I can try them on a piece of paper or tape first to check the formula.
