Nubar Purple Rain Glitter

This one's not a duochrome, but I noticed it in the back of my Nubar drawer and remembered how much I love this polish. Nubar's glitters are some of the best around- they're uncannily smooth and glossy while other brands dry to more of a rough finish. Some of Nubar's glitters are rough, but this one sure isn't.

Nubar Purple Rain Glitter. This is a dark blue-toned purple base with lots of tiny multicolored glitter. In the bottle it looks like all the glitter is pink, but once you have it on your nails you'll see that there's some holo glitter in addition to the pink. Maybe a little gold, it's hard to tell because the glitter is so tiny and reflective. My picture makes it look a little more blue toned than it is, but in real life it's definitely purple. Almost black, very dark. Dries smooth and glossy, not chunky at all.

I'd put this in the 'night sky' category of polishes. In wintertime here, on really still, cold nights, the sky takes on a purple hue and seems so immensely heavy and dark, sometimes the only light comes from a faint sprinkling of stars... That's what this looks like. I like this even better than Essie Starry Starry Night.
