Picture Polish Blog Fest: Denim

Today is the Picture Polish Blog Fest- a fun little community activity where bloggers across the web each post one Picture Polish shade. The shade chosen for me to post is called Denim.


Picture Polish Denim. This is a really cool polish. My picture makes it look a little too sky blue and not as indigo blue as it looks in real life. It is a medium periwinkle type of blue- a little light but not pastel, faded looking, hint of lavender. On top of the faded denim blue base is a blue/purple duochrome flash. And then, if that wasn't interesting enough already, it has two different types of glitter. One is a light, thin, mother-of-pearl type white flaky glitter in irregular shapes. The other is this fine silvery blue metallic microglitter. All the features combined make a unique faded pale indigo with a speckled, sparkly and vaguely duochrome finish.

The formula on it was good. It was thick and opaque, but not goopy thick. I didn't have any trouble with application at all. The brush was soft and even and the cap has a rubberized handle. Drying time was average.

Picture Polish is made in Australia and comes in a handful of fun shades like Sparkle, which is a purple-silver with multicolored glitter and Jealousy, a green glitter. There's also an option to customize your bottle labels or even create your own line of nail polish through them.
