Seeing Nails Inc at Sephora earlier this week reminded me... I've never posted this! It's the one and only Nails Inc polish I have.
This is Nails Inc Chesham Street. I've seen another Nails Inc polish online named Chesham Place that seems like a similar color, but the label on this one definitely reads Chesham Street. Anyway, I bought this because in the bottle pictures online it looked like an amazing blue/green/purple duochrome. Sadly, almost none of the duochrome shows up on my nails. It's still a really pretty blue shimmer with a purple base, but not what I thought it would be. I'm beginning to wonder if my bottle has something wrong with it because I've seen lots of other pictures with a purple duochrome clearly visible on the nail, but mine doesn't have it. It's pretty either way.
The formula was okay. It's a bit watery so it has a tendency to spread out more than I want it to. This shade is pretty old so the formula may have changed since I got this. The big round cap is a little awkward to hold on to while using.
So, there's the extent of my Nails Inc collection! Now that they're more accessible and I'm interested in trying more colors... Any recommendations for me?
Eden Grove, I swear to god it's the perfect green! It's not being made any more but you can pick it up on ebay :)
ReplyDeleteNI is my favorite brand. Their cremes have the best formula ever, IMHO. Much better than Illam. and RBL.
ReplyDeleteSince you like oranges, then I think you're gonna like Porchester Place. You might also like Atomic, Maliblush, Draycott Place, Baker Street, The Hurlingham, Baker Street, Ibiza Orange.
Else I love Duchess Street (regal purple; I have 90% purple in my collection and couldn't find a dupe), Duke Street, Blandford Street, Fouberts Place, Glastonbury (multiglitter), Bloombury Square (3d glitter), Duke of York Place (two tone indigo), Franklins Row, Lexington Street, Reading, Bow Street, King Street, Royal Arcade, Madison Avenue, and I could go on. I love Nails Inc.
Ps my bottle of Chesham St had the purple duochrome, so I think yours might be old formula or bad bottle?
Just placed my first order-I am trying the Autumn collection of 4 colors and their top coat-I'll let you know what I think once I get them!
ReplyDeletei <3 nails inc, my favourite colour is victoria its gorgeous, you need it !! loll
ReplyDeletepretty blue
ReplyDeleteI've got a bottle of Chesham Street and mine gives a subtle petrol-like shimmer that shows up purple and green flashes. I think that you've got a dud bottle, much like the OPI Black Tie Optional having bad batches.
ReplyDeleteI love Nails Inc, and consider their creme polishes amazing. I've got 34 of their colours, the best ones being Belgrave Place (indigo), Victoria (deep red), Balmoral (mannekin nails!). I've got them all listed on my blog, and if you want me to swatch any combination for comparison, then feel free to ask!
Que azul deslumbrante! Beijos.
ReplyDeleteChesham Place and Chesham Street are two different colours. As far as I know, Place is the blue shimmer. Can you see the duochrome in the bottle? Chesham Place should have it. It's very shy though and hard to get out unless you're in the right light. Maybe there are different batches floating around?
ReplyDeleteOkay, my suggestions for you are the new 3D glitters. I'll have bottle shots up later today. They look STUNNING.
It's pretty and great shine to it...but sure no duochrome in it - can imagine how your heart sunk when you did not see the duochrome translate on your fingers. What about a holo top coat - wonder if that would pull out any of the duochrome in it? The blue is pretty - but not that unique.
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't think I have ever been this attracted to a dark blue like this before!
ReplyDeleteLove the subtle glitter/shimmer in this polish. Off topic, but have you tried any of the Sephora baked moonshadows? The In the Nude Palette is on sale now and wanted to know if you thought it would be a smart purchase. Love the site!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea Nails, Inc was sold at Sephora. I'll be definitely looking into it. Pretty shade.
ReplyDeleteWow! I love this shade! Unfortunately Nails Inc is not available here in Italy. :(
ReplyDeleteYowza but that's a pretty blue... Now I've got to go find that brand online somewhere!
ReplyDeleteOut of the polishes available at Sephora, St. John's Wood is my favorite. It's a vibrant, one-coat wonder that has no dupes in my collection, and I have many indigo-periwinkle colors. I'm planning to get the Kensington Top Coat, as I've heard nothing but good things about it's quick drying abilities.
ReplyDeleteThis is 1 of 3 Nails Inc colors I've been super lemming! Sadly none of the 3 colors I want are at Sephora :( This is gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me what a great color it is :);)
Emily, no, but I want them! They look really pretty but I'm afraid they'll be chunky and rough. Good price, I might just get them next time I order.
ReplyDeleteI think mine must be a dud- only duochrome in the bottle but just blue on the nails!
Thank you for all the awesome recommendations! Can't wait to try more.
