Milani Nail Art Lacquer in Purple Outline
You know... I've had this swatch sitting in my 'to be posted' folder for well over a year and I'm not sure why I've never posted it. It's a freakin' amazing color, even though it's crazy to apply.
Milani Nail Art Lacquer in Purple Outline. The reason this is so crazy to apply is... it's a striper polish. It has a 'precision brush', which is code for 'impossibly skinny and floppy'. It's intended for nail art- outlines, swooshes, french tips, that sort of thing- not necessarily to be worn as a regular polish. They really should make this in a normal bottle with a normal brush cause it's super gorgeous. It's a bright purple creme with blue, purple and pink glitter. Sorta like a not as bright, soft demure version of China Glaze Flying Dragon (which is a must-have color, if you ask me). Painting my entire nail with that skinny striper brush is a bit of an ordeal, but the end result is worth it. Such a great color. Yeah, it's good for nail art, too... But why would I want to limit myself to a few lines of this when I can have it on my entire nail?
this colour is amazing and it's applied so perfectly you can't tell its a striper brush, lol i've tried painting my whole nail with a striper brush before and i know how annoying it is lol
ReplyDeleteWow. That's some dedication! I love the color and agree they should put this in a regular bottle/brush.
ReplyDeletedef. agree, they should make it a regular polish :) looks great!
ReplyDeleteI'm tempted to buy two bottles of this and pour them in a regular sized bottle. I know people have done it with this color before just because it is so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOoh, Ahh...too bad I won't be getting it since I don't want it to look like a monkey did my nails :(
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is SUPER pretty!!!!!
ReplyDeletei use stipers as reular polishes too :) i paint them with cleared brush from old polish :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou have more patience than I do. I would have just stuck to the stripes or tried to find a regular sized brush I could use. It definitely was worth it. The color is gorgeous!
ReplyDeletethat color is definitely worthy of the whole nail, not just a design element
ReplyDeleteI agree, they do need to make a full bottle of it! It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI can tell I'm under the weather with dental yuck, because I read that as "it's a stripper polish." And then sat here pondering: what makes a polish right for a stripper? Does it peel off?
ReplyDeleteIt is, however, a lovely color. For strippers and non-strippers alike! ;)
That color is super pretty! Dang, they really do need to make a regular sized brush with it!
ReplyDeleteChina Glaze Flying Dragon might be close. I'm wearing it right now, and it dries matte, which is weird, but a topcoat makes it look like your pic. Neon purple with pink and blue glitter.
ReplyDeleteThat colour is really beautiful. If you love wearing it as a regular polish, couldn't you decant it into a regular polish bottle? That way you would have it for manicures and can use it with a striper for art. :D
ReplyDeleteOMG, props to you for having the patience to use a precision brush! Love the color though =)
ReplyDeleteThis color is crazy gorgeous! I'm not sure if I'd have the patience to do this, but with this as the end result, maybe I would.
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous! And you totally can't tell that it was done with a striper brush.
ReplyDeleteDude I have this! Poured it straight into a franken bottle. Pow! done! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I have this one but I haven't used it yet as I a) can't imagine using that scrawny brush to paint my nails and b) don't want to waste polish by decanting when I only own one bottle of it! It's so darn gorgeous in the bottle though... *sigh*
ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty of a color. Yoou have the patience of a saint to paint your nail with that tiny brush. It does need to be a regular sized polish.
ReplyDeleteThis looks great. They should definitely sell it with a regular nail-polish brush!
ReplyDelete- Mary
wow that is gorgeous!
