This is a coat of Revlon Galaxy over OCC Beta (which is over a coat of Essie Vermillionaire). Wish I could have gotten this to show up better on camera, it was so cool in real life. It looked like Halloween! Halloween is my favorite. Revlon Galaxy has become one of my top favorite glitter topcoats. I don't know if you can see it from this angle, but there's black, blue AND hologram glitter, not just black. A little sprinkle of holo hex glitter mixed in, but it's sparse and random and not much of it ever makes it to my nails.
I know I've been absent for a little while... Didn't mean to disappear without warning. Without going into boring detail or emo-whining, things have been rough for me this year and I'm having trouble concentrating on writing. I'm still taking pictures... lots and lots and lots of pictures... Just experiencing difficulty writing about the stuff in the pictures.
Also, thank you to everyone who sends me nice messages when I disappear. They mean a lot to me. I may not always be able to reply (especially when I feel this crappy) and I feel very bad about that, but your encouraging words do make a difference and I am grateful for them.
Soooo.... that was awkward. I think now I need to post a bunch of pretty shiny happy things. I have this cool Urban Decay palette that I'm obsessed with lately, maybe I should review that next.

Hi Scrangie! Take care of yourself first, then worry about the blog. I know it has been a rough year, and I hope things get better. We love and appreciate your work, but I hope I speak for everyone when I say we understand that you need breaks to regroup.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely combination, and it makes me want Hallowe'en too!
Glad to hear you are doing well. We understand we all have to take a break from blogging ever so often :)
ReplyDeleteThis neon is amazing! I love those Revlon glitters :)
Never feel bad about disappearing! Life (and/or writer's block) often gets in the way! Love your manicures/makeup looks and reviews whenever you post them!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos always! That is majorly bright! Love OCC. Love your work.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about anyone else, but I'd be totally ok with you just posting pics and no review :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh... I need to track down Galaxy (I found the purple varitation in a discount shop for 1.99 in January!) xx
ReplyDeletehi scrangie, your website is one of my absolute favourites, you have taught me that nails don't have to be pink or red to be pretty! your photos are amazing and your reviews are always top notch. please take good care of yourself and stay well. alison xxxx
ReplyDelete:-( hope you feel better soon. nothing is worse than being down in the dumps.
ReplyDeleteLindo!
ReplyDeleteStick with the site! It's always an interesting read!
ReplyDeleteThis might cheer you up, OPI's christmas polishes are going to be themed on a new Muppets film ,with a gold shatter! :)
I love this combo!
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad you pop back. I definitely get worried after a while if you don't show up. I'll be sending you an email if it's been a while jsut to make sure you're okay. Hope things are getting better!
No worries Scrangie.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes forget all the lovely bloggers I read are real people with real lives. And life gets complicated . . . and kinda depressing (for no apparent reason). Breaking from a routine is sometimes needed.
We'll always be here. Besides, your blog is a treasure trove of witty commentary & sparkly pictures. So, even I'd you're not regularly updating, there are plenty of reasons to visit your blog. :)
You come first! And what a pretty orange!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was on coumadin, it totally messed up my brain. I had short term memory loss, difficulty finding words when speaking, and it was very hard to concentrate on anything. It's like brain fog. I've been off the med for a while, and it's mostly gone, but not completely. Very frustrating and depressing to deal with.
ReplyDeleteYou are not helping my nail polish addiction. But I'm off to find this Revlon Galaxy.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself first, we'll always be here.
We'll always be waiting here for you! <3
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else is saying, take care of yourself. Loyal readers will always welcome you back when you're ready. :) As my mom used to always have to remind me of when I was a kid, "Good things are worth waiting for!"

ReplyDeleteSo sorry you're feeling grotty. Hope things get better very soon! Best wishes.
