You've probably seen these press releases, but I want to post them here for reference:
OPI Launches Bestselling Shatter Coat in Three Blue-Hued Shades
OPI expands its Shatter line with the addition of three new trendsetting shades: Blue, Navy and Turquoise. With nautical hues of cobalt, indigo and sapphire, these blues provide the perfect look for summer nails in one simple step. Inspired by graffiti art, Shatter leaves behind a crackled, two-texture finish when painted over any dry OPI hue. Adding top coat takes Shatter from matte to glossy in seconds.
“Black Shatter was received with great fanfare, showing that women are looking for new ways to express themselves and are excited to try different textures on their nails,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “By adding a variety of colors to the line, there are more options for every woman, whether she is looking for a funky aquamarine or elegant deep blue. Unlike traditional nail art which can be complicated and difficult to replicate, Shatter is easy to use and allows everyone to experiment with this new trend.”
In addition to the original Black Shatter, the line also features the Shatter coat in White, Red and Silver. All Shatter retail displays now feature Quick Response (QR) code, a two-dimensional barcode readable by smart phones and mobile phones with cameras and Internet capability. A quick scan of the display’s QR code will directly link to a demonstrational video – making application foolproof.
All Shatter products contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application.

Serena Williams Serves Up Four New Shades for OPI Glam Slam! Collection
OPI captures Serena Williams’ winning spirit with four additions to the Glam Slam! collection, including two new shades of the fashionable, must-have Shatter – Red and White. Launching in conjunction with the French Open, Glam Slam! France celebrates with two duo-packs for four unbeatable looks.
The first Lacquer set includes:
Spark de Triomphe (a monumentally marvelous silver glitter), paired with
White Shatter. Once applied over completely dried Nail Lacquer, Shatter begins to crackle, leaving behind a two-texture pattern on each nail. The second Lacquer set features:
Rally Pretty Pink (rise to the occasion with this shimmering sunset-pink), paired with
Red Shatter.
“We are very excited to continue working with tennis superstar Serena Williams to launch the next Glam Slam! shades,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “France is a country with a rich history in fashion and setting trends. These four new color options are ideal for showcasing your own personal style, à la Serena, whether worn alone or overlaid with Shatter for instant nail art.”
“Whether I’m on or off the court, style is important,” explains Serena Williams. “In addition to watching the runways for the latest trends, I think it’s important to add my own unique elements. With the new White and Red Shatter, I can customize my nails for a high-fashion take on the classically elegant silver and sunset shades in the Glam Slam! France collection.”
Serena Williams has received the World Number One in singles ranking by the Women’s Tennis Association on five separate occasions, along with being listed as sixth on the all-time greatest champions list. Additionally, she has won two Olympic gold medals in women’s doubles and has earned 27 Grand Slam titles to date. Serena is the most recent player to have held all four Grand Slam singles titles simultaneously and only the fifth woman in history to do so.
New shades in the Glam Slam! collection will be introduced to coincide with each of the four major tournaments, beginning with the Australian Open in January 2011, followed by launches in May 2011 for the French Open, June 2011 for Wimbledon and August 2011 for the US Open. As with all OPI Nail Lacquers, the Glam Slam! collection contains no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and each includes OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application.
Glam Slam! France will be available beginning May 2011 at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $14.95 ($20.95 CAN) suggested retail for each duo-pack.

OPI Launches Touring America Collection for Fall/Winter 2011
OPI hits the open road with a new take on classic style in the Touring America Collection for Fall/Winter 2011. Inspired by Americana and cities with rich cultural heritage, the collection’s twelve shades offer comfortable glamour and wearable elegance for nails and toes.
“My recent road trip across the country sparked the creation of the Touring America Collection,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Autumn is a time for reinvention, and these shades revive classic, iconic colors for fall, from cool heather, khaki and chocolate to warm rose, peach and red.”
The season’s go-to shades of taupe and pearl grey appear in variations from dark to light – A-taupe the Space Needle, Get in the Expresso Lane, French Quarter for Your Thoughts, and Suzi Takes the Wheel. Lush urban neutrals in deep sapphire (Road House Blues), rich raisin (Honk If You Love OPI), chic olive (Uh-oh Roll Down the Window), and coffee brown (I Brake for Manicures) merge with iconic red (Color to Diner For), vivid rose (My Address is “Hollywood”), and luminous coral and orange (I Eat Mainely Lobster, Are We There Yet?) for an expansive color landscape.
“This collection will take women around the world on the ultimate tour across the USA, with stops in Baltimore, Clarksdale, Hollywood, Jackson Hole, Memphis, Milwaukee, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, Seattle, St. Louis, and Tucson,” explains Suzi. “Together, the locales that inspired Touring America make up a rich palette of color complementing trends from the runway, where we saw a mix of feminine details and dramatic menswear touches.”

ABOUT THE MOVIE
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Rob Marshall, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” captures the fun, adventure and humor that ignited the hit franchise—this time in Disney Digital 3D™. Johnny Depp returns to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in an action-packed adventure. Crossing paths with the enigmatic Angelica (Penelope Cruz), he’s not sure if it’s love—or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the “Queen Anne’s Revenge,” the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past. The international cast includes franchise vets Geoffrey Rush as the vengeful Captain Hector Barbossa and Kevin R. McNally as Captain Jack’s longtime comrade Joshamee Gibbs, plus Sam Claflin as a stalwart missionary and Astrid Berges-Frisbey as a mysterious mermaid.
The screenplay for “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” was written by Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio, suggested by the novel by Tim Powers. The film opens in theaters on May 20, 2011, in Disney Digital 3D™.
I am so excited about the PotC and Fall collections!
ReplyDeleteam I hallucinating or does I Lily Love You look like a pink flakie like Elle's Spell or hidden Treasure?
ReplyDeleteI am an OPI-nut so I'm so excited for all the releases! I'm really excited for Pirates and Fall... and that Serena glitter looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI am so freaking excited about the red shatter!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm hoping OPI's color shatters work better than China Glaze's color crackles...
Amanda - I have black shatter and a couple ChG crackles and while they are fine for me (other than making the bottle neck gross) OPI's shatters are definitely way better.
ReplyDeleteDefinately getting Turquoise Shatter, and of course Silver Shatter and Mermaid Tears from the PotC collection (maybe more I dunno).
ReplyDeleteCouple issues with the Fall/Winter Americana one though...
Uh Oh Roll Down The Window makes me think of a fart or something...especially with the color, and I can't even imagine what else they would mean...sorry if I sound immature but yeah ^^;;;
Also I am surprised the New Orleans one is gray, usually we associate them with vibrant colors...
I saw White Shatter and DEFINITELY read it as William Shatner. Yay brain!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Touring America sounds and looks so freakin awesome!!! Need all the colors, just for the name of them^^
ReplyDeleteI could not believe it when I saw one of the cities listed for Touring America is Clarksdale. That's Clarksdale, Mississippi, my home town, the home of the blues. I am amazed by this. It made me cry, honestly. I don't care what the color is; I'll buy it. Wow.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does Suzi Take the Wheel and French Quarter for Your Thoughts look exactly the same? Why two colors so similar in 1 collection?
ReplyDeleteMore shatter colors is cool, but I'm totally perplexed by the color duos chosen for the Glam Slam collection.... Rosy-gold shimmer with RED crackle? Ugh, yuck....
ReplyDeleteThe Touring America Collection has a ton of gorgeous colors, though... Uh-oh Roll Down The Window looks really neat.
I'm in LOVE with the navy blue hatter!
ReplyDeleteI think that I Lily Love You is going to be a flakie?!?!?!? Oh baby yes please!
ReplyDeleteSo thankful you posted all these - and no, I had not seen anything about these releases to come. I so count on you to bring me the news! Cannot wait for you to get your stash and be doing your swatches/reviews for all us. Ditto on the 2 gray/brown/taupe ones from the fall collection. They DO look really alike. However long ago I learned not to believe the graphic art work of OPI bottle 'photos' or their horrible 'try on the color.' They never really look like what their really bad graphics dept. puts out there. Seems with all the $ that company has, they long ago would have figured out how to give folks really good TRUE photos and not just a more 'graphic' presentation. So who knows? Those 2 in the fall collection might end up being quite different when seen for real. I love the really great names in the Summer collection! Looking forward to a # of this year's releases coming to live with me!
ReplyDeleteI can't WAIT to see these in person!! I'm going to have to save up for these because I see more than 2 or 3 that I want. I'm excited about those grays (Suzi & French Quarter) but need to seen them in person to tell them apart. I lived in New Orleans so I'm thrilled. That "Road House Blues" looks so pretty and that "Roll down the the window" olive green is a MUST!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG I want the turquoise!
ReplyDeleteI think the Serena Williams ones should switch shatter colors... white will hardly show against a silver base color and I think red over pink will look tacky.. maybe it's just me. I think red would be more suited over silver than pink, and white would be more suited over pink than silver..
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a road trip theme, but "Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window"?! Did they name a polish after letting one rip?!
ReplyDeleteWow! thank you so much for summarizing about what to expect from OPI this year! I think im already in love with Uh Oh Roll down the window since its olive green! :-)
ReplyDeleteCant wait for it and the red shatter to come out. Thanks again:-)
Can't wait for that olive green. There are quite a few polishes I'm interested in.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for the Blue Shatters to come out!! I also am waiting anxiously for the Silver Shatter to be released. The OPI shatters are much better formula wise than the China Glaze Crackles. I notice all the OPI collections (except the Nice Stems) are coming out in May. I guess that give us April to save up for all the colors I want to get! haha
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who can't see the pictures for Pirates? I reload and reload but nothing... I do know I want some of them. :) But I'd like to see the pics too.
ReplyDeleteAh I am excited! I lily I love you looks pretty!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Rally pretty pink and the red crack too! :D :D Thanks for posting Scrangie!
