OPI Black Shatter over Nicole My Lifesaver

The full manicure picture of this didn't turn out, but I wanted to post this cause I liked the combination so much:

OPI Black Shatter over Nicole My Lifesaver. Washed out (and my skin looks weirdly red) because of the flash, but this is really more about the Shatter than the base color. Look how perfectly it crackled! I love this stuff so much. It's so much better than the old crackle polishes. It crackles so quickly and doesn't take an hour to remove.

I also think it's quite funny that I'm wearing a Katy Perry nail polish over a Justin Bieber nail polish. Two musicians that I know next to nothing about and would rather eat my mother-in-law's turkey lasagna than listen to even one their songs.... Yet here they are on my nails, their colors joined together in perfect harmony and greatly admired by me.

But, yeah, I really love this combination. Nice contrast between light base color and black crackle effect.

    This looks lovely, I haven't tried OPI Black Shatter but I do love Barry M Special Effects which does the same. :)

    Gorgeous combo. I like black shatter over bright cremes the best :) And I totally agree with you about the artists behind these lines, I almost feel ashamed when I tell people about the colours lol. Feels like a teen all over again, and NOT in the good way.

    I'm going to send this to my daughter, it's a good example of what shatter can do. She's been feeling iffy about it.
    Personally, I'm not a black or blue nail polish person, but like the design it makes. thanks for posting for those of us who are curious!

    Love it! I find the black shatter over the other Katy Perry's dont look as sharp. They make me look like have witch nails.

    I got the Katy Perry crackle a few days ago. I am in love. I have changed my nails about 5 times since so I can try the crackle out on all the different colors. I'm trying to NOT buy any "Justin" nail polish.

    I love it! I can't find a Bieber polish around my area to save my life, so I'll just have to wait... I recently wore Black Shatter is OPI Catch Me In Your Net and liked it so much I didn't change my polish for a week!

    *My* MIL makes this "cold salad concoction", in other words "ABOMINATION", consisting of sliced bananas and torn up lettuce leaves tossed in a dressing of mayo and sugar... She makes it "special" just for my husband - cuz he loved it growing up or something (I don't want to know details). Just the thought of it makes me want to throw up!

    maybe i'm the only one here who doesn't know how it works... but would u please tell me how to use that crackle polish? do u just put it over a dried other polish and it makes these black shatters?

    Hi Scrangie! Off topic, but did you see that Philosophy has a gift set of bath stuff scented like those candy hearts you love?? it's called "sweet on you" or something and the packaging has the little heart sayings on them :)
