Please refer to my previous post about these for details, cause I can't remember what they were! XD
These just arrived and I couldn't wait to get them on my nails, so I snapped a few dimly-lit and not so fantastic pictures and figured I'd share :) I will attempt to get 'real' pictures when the sun comes back, but for now I'm really enjoying this rain, even if it means crappy swatches!
(And I apologize in advance for all the smudges and fingerprints on the bottles... this acetone + glycerin swatching remover makes my hands kinda sticky... ew.)
Eclipse. A frosty dark blue with hints of purple. I had really high hopes for this one based on the promo images- it looked like a dark blue/purple duochrome with silver microglitter, but alas, it is not.
Raindrops. This is prettier than I expected! It is sheer- this is three coats- but the sheerness really helps the little silver flakes shine through. And it reminds me of this:
Shrapnel. This one doesn't quite look like I imagined it to look based on early images, but it's really interesting! It's a bright copper or perhaps rose gold metallic, a little frosty but more shiny/chrome/metallic than true frost and it has really tiny silver microglitter. Super opaque, this is one coat. Great coverage. Very flashy.
I want to evaluate these in sunlight to get a better understanding of the colors.... Will come back to these.
(These were sent to me for review.)

Dear sweet goodness I need Eclipse and Raindrops. You made these look awesome.
ReplyDeleteI think Raindrops may be my favorite, but they are all so pretty!
ReplyDeleteFor being winners of a nail polish contest, they look really dull..
ReplyDeleteRaindrops is the only one that is ever so slightly unique!
Oh, and the brush strokes on the other two makes me kind of sad. Not a good job at all..
Hm. Not sure what to think of these, I think they looked better in the promopics too. Don't get me wrong; they're pretty shades but I expected more of them because they were supposed to be entirely unique and such..
ReplyDeleteThanks for swatching them :)
I really love the idea of Shrapnel, although I'm a little sad it's not going to be the full-on blinding copper we saw in the original images.
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely be abusing my staff discount on Shrapnel and Raindrops though!
Ehhhh . . . none of these are really blowing my mind. I'd be curious to see Raindrops in the sunlight, though!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I've been waiting for this post since the contest winners were announced. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThe dark blue? Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteRaindrops I like a lot.
Shrapnel not good at all. Those pesky brushstrokes. Quite rubbish actually.
Oh, I need Raindrops. I'm disappointed in Shrapnel - it looks like they went for that gorgeous pinkish copper colour of new copper pots and pans, but kind of overdid the pink... I was hoping for a true bright copper. And Eclipse definitely looks like sunlight pics are needed.
ReplyDeleteThank you for getting them out there so quickly though - I've been dying to see these!
I like all of those, even the almost frosty dark blue. I love Chopin - that little video has been the highlight of my day thus far. How pathetic is that?
ReplyDeleteI really like raindrops... the other two are kinda eh if you ask me though. Thanks for swatching hun.
ReplyDeleteWow...these suck dude! I had extremely high hopes for these, especially Eclipse, it looked so amazing. Raindrops is pretty. I guess this is good news for my wallet though.
ReplyDeleteraindrops is fab-u-lous!
ReplyDeleteI'm truly disappointed in these besides Raindrops. I thought Eclipse would be like Raindrops but dark, sheer and sparkly.
ReplyDeleteI'm only getting Raindrops. The two others are so outdated IMO.
Thank you so much for posting these :)
Wow Holy Crap!
ReplyDeleteEclipse is disappointing, but Raindrops makes up for it! It is gorgeous!
Oh God... Raindrops is truly beautiful, but Eclipse looks like the blue you'd produce in a world which still has not seen any blue nail polish. I hope it's the lighting, but it looks really flat and uninteresting.
ReplyDeleteAnd I had superhigh hopes for Shrapnel after seeing those terrific copper shoes, but it looks like an old style frosty nightmare.
*runs away sobbing to the other room*
these are the "winners"?! illa might need an eye exam...
ReplyDeleteI love love Raindrops...the others...not so much.
ReplyDeleteBut I will be getting NONE of them, because I totally cannot afford it. lmao!!
Raindrops is def my favorite of the bunch!! The others I'm not really impressed with.
ReplyDeleteAre those expensive? how much one cost?
ReplyDeleteWow - I NEED Raindrops! That one is divine!!! The other two are nice, but after seeing raindrops, I was done!
ReplyDeleteI like Raindrops! The others are somewhat disappointing, and it makes me sad that my entry didn't go further in the competition (although I guess not everyone would appreciate an iridescent/duochrome deep blue-green and sea green polish) :(
ReplyDeleteI wonder how the winners feel about the final product...
Oh, my. I frankened one similar to Raindrops, so that's off the list.
ReplyDeleteThe other two are...dunh, dunh, dunh...FROSTS!!!
o.0
i've been SO excited about raindrops. it looks as beautiful as i imagined. i'm not feeling the others, though...not into frosts. :|

ReplyDeleteVery interesting. The brushstrokes in Eclipse and Shrapnel are making me lean towards not getting them, but we'll see. I was planning to get Raindrops regardless since it was inspired by the rain in Seattle. I'm happy to see that I really like the color on top of that, LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh, and Melli, I'd have bought that color in a heartbeat, it sounds lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteRaindrops looks divine! <3 I was expecting much more from Shrapnel, it looked like bronze holo in the prom pics.
ReplyDeleteRaindrops is a nice one. The other two look like polishes I already have. How dreadfully disappointing. What where they thinking?
ReplyDeletei need raindrops!
ReplyDeleteOh, whoa, Shrapnel looks really great here! It looks much nicer here than in the early images.
ReplyDeleteas the raindrops "creator/conceptualist" it really makes me feel good that so many of you are excited for the color... i'm really curious to know what the other winners think of their final shades...
ReplyDeleteI think raindrops is the prettiest!! A fashionable shade=) the others look more common.
ReplyDeleteEclipse is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAm I going to be insane enough to pay $50 for Raindrops on ebay? I'm obsessed with finding it. Argh!
