Of course, I used my old reliable combination of black base + holo design. Can't really fail with that.

Which reminds me, I don't think I ever posted the Casey/Gold mani I did a while back. I know I mentioned it on Twitter... I get distracted so easily. I have thousands of pictures I never remember to post... The minute something new and shiny crosses my path I forget about everything!

My pictures didn't pick up the design very well, but it reminded me of a rich brocade tapestry type of thing. Something you'd see in a museum or a castle. The glass fleck finish of Melt In The Sun makes the edges of the design soft and irregular so it really looks woven or embroidered!
And one more Konad from last year... Pretty damn cheesy but I must admit I liked how it turned out!

On another topic, someone just asked me why I stopped posting nail polish... I haven't! I'm just not super excited about anything nail polish at the moment (at least until Zoya and China Glaze winter/holiday come out!) and I'm really having fun posting more makeup things. I'm not just a polish addict, I'm a super beauty product junkie! It's been really refreshing for me to switch up my posts and I'll keep doing it until it's not fun anymore :) So don't worry, I haven't abandoned polish. I know I have a million things I haven't posted... I feel it looming over me all the time... all these polishes and swatches and pictures... like I'll never catch up on things I want to post or photograph... But I'm trying!
I like the first one best!
ReplyDeleteAh...much better!! I'm really crossing my fingers for a Konad set for my bday - and believe me, I'm sure you'll be seeing more than one fail from me! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I love all of these! Sometimes I'm a peeler, too. Not always, but recently I've been doing it haha.
ReplyDeleteI tried a konad nail the oherday but found my holo (CG) was nowhere near opaque enough :( would love to know which you used/how you did it....
ReplyDeleteWow! Did you use a regular CG polish with the Konad?? It works great and looks fab. I have Zoya Xi polish on today, which I love. I think I'm getting a bit of a thing for Zoya, I want Casey now too!! Reading your blog is awful for my bank balance.... but thank you! ;o)
ReplyDeleteI love the stars, love love love them!
ReplyDeletelove it as always (:
ReplyDeletePost what you enjoy, and have fun with it. :)
ReplyDeleteI do know what you mean about having habits for konading. I either stamp a white mani with blue flowers or any creme with holo or duuochrome. Looks great, so I never get bored.
The first one looks just A W E S O M E !
ReplyDeleteI love the stars! What plate is thtat from? I've been looking for stars forever, but haven't found any I like:(
ReplyDeletethose looks so cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried this with the Color Club holos? I have Worth the Risque and Revvvolution. I think it would look great with those. I love the look. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the first one! Which plate did you use? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove them all, but especially the first one :) and that Sally Hansen Red Carpet shade looks freakin gorgeous <3
ReplyDeletethe first one would've looked SO MUCH BETTER if you'd used a really dark purple instead! it still looks smashing, but that yellow holo NEEDS purple to be truly alive :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing! Love it!
