Eye of the Day with purple and orange
This one is from a few weeks ago. One of my favorite combinations, purple and orange!
This was:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (on lid only)
Fyrinnae Meerkat on lid, applied wet with MAC Water Based Mixing Medium
Make Up For Ever #92 in crease
Fyrinnae Pyromantic Erotica on inner corner and lower lashline
Urban Decay 24/7 Zero
Fyrinnae Pumpkinfire with MAC mixing medium as liner
Urban Decay Lash Primer
Cover Girl Lash Blast
I still haven't quite learned how to use Pixie Epoxy. If I get any amount of it in my crease at all it causes the shadows to stick and sort of stain and clump and not blend... Makes a harsh line where the shadow is stuck on the Pixie Epoxy of that makes sense. Or sometimes it will do really weird things to the shimmer in shadows when I try to blend. What am I doing wrong? I only use a tiny amount, just barely tap my finger with the wand and then blend over the lid. I know a lot of you use it and love it, any tips?
Oh... and I've finished my sample of Pyromantic Erotica. I don't think I've ever finished a shadow or pigment sample before! Good thing I picked up a full sized jar. Man, I love that stuff. So awesome.
I love purple and gold together! This is stunning! And these colors make your eye look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove this look... it's dark but still very rich-looking and absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe color palette reminds me so much of John Howe's "Smaug the Golden" - the loveliest illustration of a dragon I've ever seen.

Well this is gorgeous! I love purples on brown eyes...and the orange on the lower lash :)
ReplyDeleteomy gosh.. this is beautiful eye makeup..
ReplyDeletei'm horrible at this stuff... and one eye always rubs off.. so i look crazy.. with half a face done
Love the purple and orange combo. I just got Pixie Epoxy myself not too long ago and I'm still trying to figure it out too.
ReplyDelete1. I love the look.
ReplyDelete2. with the pixie epoxy, apply your eye shadow primer. Apply your pixie epoxy to 1 eye, just a tiny amount. i smooth it out with my finger tip. I wait about 5 seconds, then I apply my shadows, brushing them on the pixie epoxy. blending can take a bit of practice with it. Then do the other eye.
Just wanted to wander in and say that I love these Eye Of The Day posts!
ReplyDeleteWow! I would never have imagined that purple and orange could go together, but you did it.
