Illamasqua has chosen the winners of their polish design contest! Since they received so many amazing entries (over 6,000!) they couldn't pick just one- they chose three winners!
I have the names and pictures of the bottles below. Once I have more info I'll be sure to post it! But, WOW, these look awesome. I'm especially digging Eclipse. I can not wait to see how these look on the nail. Congratulations to all the winners!
"Shrapnel" by Loren Perry – a pink-based metallic copper inspired by the dazzling shine of a new penny and a beautiful pair of copper shoes she owns.
Raindrops by Ann Black – a creamy pale grey with a sheer silver sparkle inspired by watching raindrops running down the window while riding the monorail in Seattle. [her blog post is at http://anniedollface.

ReplyDeleteHmmm.
ReplyDeleteI like Eclipse.
Strange but true, I am really intrigued by Shrapnel!
ReplyDeleteOh how cool is that! I love Raindrops! what a great color and inspiration for the color. Might be the first Illamasqua I ever own.
ReplyDeleteOh, my... Eclipse looks so lovely.
ReplyDeleteLOVE them all. Please post swatches, even if they are not yours. I'm dying to see them.
ReplyDeleteI love Eclipse and Raindrops :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also looking forward to seeing swatches of Eclipse. Wonderful ideas the winners had.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteThose all look beautiful, and the inspirations are so awesome. I am really looking forward to Raindrops!
ReplyDeleteA little reader request: Can you do a comparison of Milani Good Morning Sunshine and Chanel Gold Fiction? Thanks; love your site!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. :) Can't wait until October so we can see what they really look like, but I'll be getting Raindrops just going by the description.
ReplyDeleteIllamasqua is not available here in Canada...but if I were to buy one of these it would be Raindrops.
ReplyDeleteLiving 2 hours from Seattle, no other name for a nail polish could be more fitting:)
As much as I love intense, deep colors, I think I'm over the nearly black ones. If the sun was always shining to bring out the deep, true red, blue, purple or green, it would be different but living in the gloomy PNW (don't get me wrong, I love it here), I'm really tired of people saying 'Wow, you're wearing black polish.' when I'm not. Living just south of Seattle, the gray isn't a novelty for me and while I like the Shrapnel I know it wouldn't like me. I was hoping for more intense COLOR, not neutrals, along the lines of Baptiste, Fern, Muse and Phallic. Maybe next time.
ReplyDeletethank you so much for posting this!! i am the winner that designed raindrops... i am so excited to see a picture of it! i was on holiday in san fransisco when they announced the winners so your site is the way i found out!! haha. some lovely ladies left comments on my post and i went frantically searching through my e-mails to see if it could be true. : ) so, technically, you gave me the best news ever!! thanks! xoxo

A turkish(?) site it seems.
Or am I wrong? Perhaps they've asked you about it..?
Ok I want all 3, how do we make this happen? Lol but seriously congrats to the winners! These are gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteAnnie, CONGRATULATIONS!! Seriously, woohoo, I'm so happy for you, this is awesome!
ReplyDeleteSparris, ugh, that sucks, thanks for letting me know about these jerks :( That upsets me. They most definitely do NOT have my permission- no one has my permission to use my pictures to sell things.
