Lacquerhead.
This is my nail file. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Savvy Red Caviar with CND Crimson Sparkle. I am not totally in love with the new CND effects, but I really liked this combination.
I love certain colors in the effects line. Others seem too similar to ones already in the collection. They look amazing over darks, though, like these
ReplyDeleteThis combination is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! The CND effects really are not as amazing as I thought they would be. I am just under impressed. I just wanted a lot more out of them.
ReplyDeleteI'm not crazy about the new CND line either--I've used the sapphire sparkle a few times, but most of the effects aren't enough of a wow for me to reach for them.
ReplyDeleteI like that combo! I feel like there might be a polish out there that looks like that without having to use two polishes. But it's very pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous ! These two look so good together - love your idea to combine them :-)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty.
ReplyDeleteSome of the colours look great, others look mweh. I do like your combination very much! :)
ReplyDeleteOoo, those look awesome together!
ReplyDeleteWhat did the polish look like before you added the effects? Creme? glitter" shimmer"
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried the new CND Effects line as they're a little too expensive than I'm willing to pay for a non-full size layering polish. I do like this combination a lot though.
ReplyDeleteReally nice!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I haven't tried CND effects yet. Most of my layering top notes are drug store glitters. Crimson Sparkle looks worth the investment.
ReplyDeleteI've got a request...
ReplyDeleteCan you please make a comparision of OPI Elephantastic Pink and OPI Feelin' Hot-Hot-Hot?
I'll be very grateful.
I like the concept, but I haven't seen any Effects that would make me shell out the $12 asking price. I was hoping they would at least have some iridescent flakies or something.
ReplyDeleteScrangie, this is beautiful! I just wanted to say thank you for this lovely blog. I have followed it through college and always check with you b4 buying!
ReplyDeletethis is fab....I haven't tried the CND, oh, someday....I have so many untrieds right now ~ I am toatlly overwhelmed....
ReplyDelete=) nice color, nice mix ^^
ReplyDeleteIs it natural nail? They look soo smooth ^^
Very Pretty!
ReplyDeletethis looks just like my baby goth girl polish from MAC that came out with Style Black back in the fall.
ReplyDeleteI love being able to layer my polish, but I don't have any of these yet. It looks pretty though, I may have to get one of these.
ReplyDeleteThats SO beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the effects I have and I need to try this combo. So lovely
ReplyDeleteI'm not all in love with these either, but this combination is great. Guess I just don't have the patience to experiment. I did a french manicure with the Amethyst Sparkle on top, though, and that put a really nice edge to it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous combination. I figure if I want effects I could layer all the sheers over any color I want. Same thing. Glitters or whatever. Will save me money.
ReplyDeleteStrikes me mostly as a way for CND to gouge $20 for one look. CND is one of my favorite brands but since I have everything I from their much reduced core line I won't be buying any more. I can get drugstore sheers to mimic most if not all of their effects and in fewer coats. Many of CND's appear to require multiple coats of Effect over the already multiple coats of Color. No thanks.
