I don't know how to start this post, so I'll just get right to the point: I'm having trouble keeping up with my inbox!
If you've emailed me and haven't gotten a response, I'm really sorry. It's been really difficult to stay on top of my emails lately. I have emails over a month old that are still waiting to be answered. I'm having a lot of trouble concentrating, remembering things and flat out finding time to sit and write coherent sentences. Please be patient with me, I am working through my messages.
Also, I am working on a Frequently Asked Questions post to cover some of the more popular questions I receive, such as "Are your nails real?" (Yes, they are.) "What topcoat/basecoat do you use?" "How do you keep from painting on your cuticles?" "Where can I buy ___ brand of polish?" and so on... That should really help me answer questions more quickly.
There's so much I want to say and do and post and it's really a lot for one person to keep up with every day- but I try my best!
I really, really appreciate all your emails. I love that you like me enough to visit my blog and want to talk to me! Cause I like you guys too. Thank you. <3
I love your blog and so appreciate the time you spend to keep us informed.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
Hugs!
ReplyDeleteEmail is the bane of my existence, so you get no complaints from me about not responding right away! I spend an hour doing email and it takes away from what I should be doing, so I completely understand.
Hang in there and take care of yourself first! You are well-loved by all of us, and those who are good e-friends will understand.
Hugs again!
You're a sweetheart who has beautiful nails:) Thanks for posting all that you do. You have a terrific sense of style, humor and talent. I love your blog. It's one of my first stops each day.
ReplyDeleteyou rock.
ReplyDeleteno problem scrangie. i figured you get tons of messages. i hope you can let us know how you keep your cuticles in tip top shape-what with all the swatches you do :)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work. You blog is the best. It's fantastic that you reply to some of the comments. You are a celebrity!
ReplyDeleteScott
Hey there, this is totally unrelated, but I wanted to let you know that I just tried Scrangie (the RBL polish, not you!) for the first time and it's beautiful! You created a fantastic color, thanks!
ReplyDelete*blows kisses*
ReplyDeleteYou're a machine Scrang, seriously. I don't know how you do it.
we love you!
ReplyDeletekeep up the great work!
Maybe, just an idea, you could address some of these things on your blog. I am sure that many many people would love to hear about these things, but are too shy to send an email your way. Pull out the most common ones, and spill it!
ReplyDeleteJust a thought. Keep it up! Love your work.
L
take your time catching up! looking forward to the faq section....great idea :)
ReplyDeleteYou're the sweetest girl ever. Love your blog. <3
ReplyDeleteAwww! Scrangie! Sweet girl! We love you! I sometimes wonder how in the heck you find time to do what you do. Take your time, we will all still be here, polish addictions intact.
ReplyDeleteLove

I agree with Lana. Just go thru your emails and jot down what the subjects are. Address them in different posts. That way you won't have to answer individually. I'm sure people will understand that sometimes you just get backed up. At least acknowledge that your reading the emails and are answering the quickest way you know how by posting the answers on your blog. How about like a 20 questions sort of post. This way you can get the answers out quicker. I can't imagine how you find the time to blog and then respond to all the emails. You do a terrific job Scrangie and I appreciate all your hard work. You are a total sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteThe FAQ is a great idea! I LOVE your blog. It's my favourite nail blog. I come to you constantly whenever I'm looking for swatches. I couldn't do without you. Please never shut this down!
ReplyDeletedieselbe sache und das alte leid

Awww, you are so sweet! Thank you so much for doing all this just so that we could stay informed, updated and amused :) FAQ is a fantastic idea! Can't wait for that post!
ReplyDeleteWe love your blog Scrangie and appreciate ANY time you take. I know I check your blog daily...its always worth the wait!!
ReplyDeleteThe FAQ is such a great idea, and I'm sure that will be a big help.
ReplyDeleteHope you will choose not to feel bad that you can't "do it all". Who can?
There are email settings in most software for automated replies too, just so people know you got their email and can't get back to them right away. Maybe try that?
Take care.
I haven't emailed you in ages but just wanted to say thanks - not a lot of people have the respect for their readers to acknowledge a backlog x
ReplyDeleteYou rock girl - do what you can. Stay positive, we all appreciate your efforts! HUGS!!
ReplyDeleteWe understand, you're a celebrity! :) Can't wait for the FAQ.
ReplyDeleteScrangie, you are such a sweetheart. I can't get through my day without your blog and I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate all your gorgeous pictures and wealth of information and hard work. Because of you and reading your blog for almost a year now, I have once again quit (permanently I hope) biting my nails and have nails once again and I am on overload with polishes now! Hang in there and take care of yourself - we'll be here for you!
ReplyDeleteI'm with all of these other nail-loving ladies -- your blog is wonderful, and I appreciate all the time and thought and energy you put into it. I cannot see how anyone would feel slighted that it was taking a bit of time to reply to personal emails when you do so much for all of us as a group.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is totally unique and awsome. It is an Internet gem or a favourite sweet for me:-) Now I am addicted to nail polish and my collection of colorful bottles is growing quickly! I often follow your advice when I choose my next polish. As for me, your blog provides enough information for any polish junkie.
ReplyDeleteBut FAQ section might be a good idea for some readers.
Thank you for your great work!
x
Aw Scrangie, your inbox is full because you have such a great blog. Come on, a girl with great nails that rocks, what could be better? :)
ReplyDeleteI've been following your blog for a few weeks now, and have done more searches for swatches than I care to admit. Thank you for doing this! Checking your blog is always fun.
ReplyDeleteYou're awesome, Scrangie. :D
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to chime in and say that I really love your blog too. It's a great inspiration, keep up the good work. :)
ReplyDelete.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!
There is a at least a dozen things I want to know about your process and products. A FAQ would be rad in the future.
Thank you soooo much for all your hard work blogging & sharing all these beautiful swatches with us♥
I love bug photos! I take pics of every interesting bug I find. Nice shots!!
ReplyDeleteDear Scrangie,
ReplyDeleteYou know what, you are by far one of the nicest person that I ever known. :)
Thx so much for your advice last time on rubbing off the yellows on my nails. (I'm from HK if that rings a bell)
Too bad that I am not too consistent and clean my nails everyday, if not, my nails could become as white as it normally looks.
You rock, Scrangie, don't feel anything bad, you've helped and inspired us a lot.
FAQ section is a great great idea and it should be treated like a "Sticky" in some other forums that I read.
All the best.
Pauline from HK
I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't expect one of the most admired nail bloggers to answer any email fast, that would be impossible!
In fact, I don't email my favourite bloggers because I don't want to clutter up their mail boxes with "fan mail".
When I want to comment something, I do that in the blog comments, and I get a response most of the time.
If I don't, I just think that my favourite blogger had to much on her hands to answer..
Keep up your fantastic work! :-x
Yeah, really don't feel pressured to answer all the emails. A lot of people who have sites and blogs that get a lot of email don't.
ReplyDeleteIf you enjoy doing it, please do so. But, don't answer them all. I remember someone I talked to sat down once and spent 6 hours answering all his emails. He vowed never to do that again, and with good reason!
Actually, Scrangie do you participate in any web forum on nails, or any forums at all? I suppose that would just as intensive if you want to talk to everyone, but it may be a better option for communication. They're a little better well structured then blogs, they're made for discussion and you could post messages answering common questions, etc.
