I have a fun surprise for you! Today, KarlaSugar, aka "The Arm", the genius behind the blog The Next Best Thing To Going Shopping Yourself , is blogging about polish on my blog today! If you're not familiar with The Next Best Thing To Going Shopping Yourself, it is an incredible beauty blog. Not only is KarlaSugar a total sweetie, she's one of the hardest working bloggers out there- she SWATCHES EVERYTHING! And, in turn, makes me BUY EVERYTHING! Really, her blog is a bit of a dangerous place to be.... But it's so, so wonderful. Anyway, the bottom line is- KarlaSugar rocks and here she is on the topic of Zoya's Fall collections.
There are plenty of reasons to get excited for fall: the weather starts to cool down, kids go back to school, and — as a result of the first two — I associate the time of year with shopping.

Zoya Guest Post by the amazing KarlaSugar!
Zoya is a new-to-me brand of nail polish, and I love both the quality and the price (in my head, OPIs froze at $6, and it hurts me to pay more). When I saw the Truth and Dare Collections on their site, a lightbulb went off in my head. Cheaper than buying clothes (or even makeup), I could have an entirely new "polish wardrobe" for fall.
These 12 polishes are, in my opinion, a work of genius. Every color in a winner, and between the lot of them, I think I have everything I could possibly need until spring. I want to build a tiny closet for them, so I can fling open the little doors and ask myself, "what to wear today?"
Dare is an assortment of cremes — with the exception of a little shimmer in Ibiza. Truth is all shimmers (so festive!); look for the pretty little sparkles in Anaka. And of course, Scrangie has taken gorgeous on-nail photos of these.
Zoya polishes are $6; the collections are $36 — so you're free to make substitutions or order shades individually with no penalty on price. You can order online at Zoya's website (free shipping at $55!), and their site has a salon locator, in case you're one of the insanely lucky people to have a brick-and-mortar near you.

You two are awesome! I love KarlaSugar's way of swatching, too. Thanks to both of you for this post!
ReplyDeleteHi, Karla!
ReplyDeletePretty swatches, Pinta looks very different here than Scrangie's nail swatches, nice comparison.
BTW, the zoya salon locator sucks to high heaven - I'm desperately trying to find a stockist in downtown Chicago if anyone knows one TY!
I LOVE ZOYA!!! Ah! Scrangie+Zoya=LOVEE!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing swatches. Karla is one of the best!
ReplyDeleteI could pick Karla's arm out of a lineup! Thanks so much for the inventive swatches!
ReplyDeleteAww Love it! I like seeing them all lined up like that. Thanks KarlaSugar!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved Karla's swatches.
ReplyDeleteGreat swatches from Karla Sugar as always! Thx!
ReplyDeletethe coolest idea! Thanks for reminding me on that beautiful collection, rarely I see one that's so awesome; I like every shade, pure gorgeousness !
ReplyDeleteNailpolish on your arm? Kinda weird... but on the other hand, her arms look as pale as mine, so weird might work for me.
ReplyDeleteLoved the article! Karla's in second place, though, compared to the amount of money SCRANGIE has caused me to spend (although it is a CLOSE second!). Karla, girl, I want to be there when you try to take that polish off 'yer arm!!
ReplyDeletehee hee

I'm pretty sure that's just scotch tape applied on her arm then she just puts nail polish over that. Make up and stuff if applied directly on the arm.
ReplyDeleteotherwise, <3 her swatching
I've never seen arm swatches for polish. Interesting! Nice to have a guest on the blog.
ReplyDeleteDrew and Demi came out so much darker than pictures appeared. :( I was especially sad that Drew looked like a hot mauve than girly pink.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Love them all :) Definitely going to try them out! :) P.S. I have never seen anybody doing swatches of nail polishes like that :) Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI am wearing Pinta and LOVE it. :D
