Gross Mascara Googler and also Too Faced Shadow Insurance is better than Urban Decay Primer Potion.

To the person who hit my blog by googling "make mascara useable again":

OMFG!!! THROW IT OUT!!! Don't do it, man!!!

Anyway... Not much time to write, but I wanted to say that the new Too Faced Shadow Insurance ROCKS. So far, it's way better than Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Better texture, it has a bit of tint to it to even out lid color, shadows blend easier and no creasing.

Nice!

  1. Most interesting beauty purchases in the land of Skirtsville in the past month:

    * bareMinerals foundation starter kit thing-a-ma-bob.
    * bareMinerals eye color set. Which, stupidly, did not come with brushes, so I have to go buy those before indulging.
    * Philosophy bath set. Got both "hot cocoa" and "falling in love" as gifts. The latter seemed to smell a lot better when my grandma was introducing me to it over Thanksgiving. (Yes, I owe it to my grandmother that I was first exposed to philosophy products.) Then again, I have no sense of smell right now thanks to my recent cold, so I really don't know.

I feel like I'm starting from square one in the world of make-up, but I guess that's what I get for letting the cheerleading squad at Westminster tell me what looked good. Hahahaha. I can't believe I just typed that.

Anywho, I'm writing down nail polish suggestions from your blog right now because this addiction you have is kinda contagious.

  3. Well, hey, if that's starting from square one, you have a pretty great start!

One thing I will add on the topic of brushes... The Bare Minerals brushes suck for the most part, with the exception of the Handy Buki. I love the Handy Buki a lot, but the rest of the brushes shed way too much and they are kinda scratchy. I still use them, but there's better stuff out there if you aren't satisfied.

If you have money to blow on good brushes, MAC makes great quality and reasonably priced brushes. If you don't feel like spending a lot, Sephora Professional has great brushes that are pretty cheap, and I've also heard good things about Sonia Kashuk brushes from Target.

If you need an excuse to rationalize spending money, you can tell yourself you'll only have to buy brushes once, cause good ones last a lifetime! Hahaha... I love to rationalize.

Hey, well... I have makeup recommendations coming out the wazoo, so if you trust my opinions, I'm here to help!
